Writing Assignment #1

I absolutely enjoy this photo because the objects in it are arranged in such a form that the image as a whole is projecting a message. First off, i notice that this photo is using the rule of thirds since the vase and the main flower are sitting more to the left. I also notice a pop of color coming from the flowers which are the main subjects in the photo. The reason this photo speaks to me is because it looks as if the flowers themselves are speaking to each other. The flower in the vase looks as if it was looking down on the flower laying on the floor. The flower on the floor is looking up at the flower in the vase as in saying "sorry". The objects seem to evoke a feeling of sadness.  This photo is almost literally speaking out to the viewer. Although the objects are inanimate, the way the objects are arranged for the purpose of the photo makes them come to life. I also notice that the tones of black in this photo add to the dramatic effect that the photo is trying to deliver.
